Curly whirly scarf

I first noticed this kind of scarf over at Tania’s blog and I found it lovely. After the crochet extravaganza in these last days, I took up the courage to crochet an entire scarf. The main problem was that I couldn’t understand the english directions Tania referred to, and I was too impatient to make a google search for all the crochet technical terms. So what I did was asking my mum: ehm, can you make curls with crochet? – sure! we used to make doll hairs with that! (can you imagine it? how can’t I love my mum?) – great! show me NOW.
So, she showed me the way to make tiny curls and I assure you it’s entertaining! You don’t believe me, huh? It’s very simple also, since even I can do it. Then I adjusted the curl size till I got this one you can see in the pic. I’m pretty enthusiastic about the fact I succeeded in making a scarf crochetting all by myself, but apart from that I find it too heavy and I think I’ll have to adjust the pattern again.

Ho fatto una sciarpa all’uncinetto! Per me questo fatto ha dell’incredibile. Ma dopo le ultime creature inquietanti, ho preso il coraggio a piene mani e mi sono detta: posso farcela. Avevo visto questo modello di sciarpa su un altro crafty blog (nella versione inglese qui sopra trovi tutti i link) ma non ci capisco niente dei termini tecnici di uncinetto in inglese, così sono andata da mia superpompom madre e le ho chiesto di farmi vedere come si fanno le curve all’uncinetto (altro che motori – questo si che è essere spericolati). Il risultato lo puoi vedere nelle foto, io sono abbastanza contenta anche se penso che devo rivedere qualcosa.
